Winners of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024

The annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards ceremony was live-streamed globally on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. JST (4:00 a.m. EST) via the company's YouTube and Twitch channels. The event featured prominent personalities from around the globe gracing the Orange Carpet, expressing their adoration for anime, and presenting accolades across 32 categories. This year, the awards were determined by the votes of 34 million anime enthusiasts hailing from "nearly 200 countries and regions," marking a significant increase from last year's 18 million votes.


The show commenced with a captivating performance by Hiroyuki Sawano (known for his work on Attack on Titan and Solo Leveling) and Kohta Yamamoto (recognized for contributions to Attack on Titan and The Seven Deadly Sins), who presented the Anime Awards' new theme song in its entirety for the first time. Following this electrifying start, LiSA took the stage to present the first award of the evening to Buddy Daddies for their outstanding work in the category of Best Original Anime.


Although Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc achieved notable success this year by securing multiple awards, it was Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 that emerged as the dominant force. The series clinched victories in several categories, including Best Character Design, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Action, Best Supporting Character, and Best Opening Sequence, ultimately earning the prestigious title of Anime of the Year.
